Continuing Education
Professional Continuing Education
GSAHEC supports local health care by providing convenient and cost
effective continuing education programs to meet health providers’
professional development needs for licensure, certification and
professional membership.
We are committed to the educational needs of health professionals in
Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota counties and use our resources
to further increase and update their clinical knowledge base. Programs
can range from simple two hour in-services to multi-day, mixed
discipline conferences.

Awarding of Professional Education Credits
Continuing Education credits for several healthcare disciplines are
available, and through our affiliation with the USF College of
Medicine, we also provide Continuing Medical Education. GSAHEC
facilitates all paperwork and requirements for the appropriate
licensure boards and awards certificates of completion or attendance.
As a provider of continuing education we can offer credit for the following healthcare disciplines:
- Florida licensed nurses
- Dietitians
- Clinical social workers, mental health counselors, marriage and
family therapists
- Pharmacists
- Dentists
- Physicians
Conference Coordination Services
Let us guide you from the initial stages of program planning and
marketing, through the details of on-site coordination, to the final
program evaluation and reporting of data.
