Meghan Slaybaugh is a Tobacco Cessation Specialist at Gulfcoast South AHEC, where she is passionate about guiding individuals toward a tobacco-free life. As the newest member of the team, Meghan’s journey with GSAHEC began during her Master of Public Health internship. Since then, she has served as a student representative on the board and has now transitioned into her current role, providing cessation services primarily to Manatee County. Meghan is deeply committed to helping those who are often underrepresented in healthcare, and she strives to empower individuals to reach their full potential in both health and life.
Before pursuing her Master’s in Public Health to focus on this important work, Meghan spent six years teaching, gaining invaluable experience with diverse populations across a variety of settings and cultures. This background in education is the foundation of her dedication to making a positive impact and helping others lead healthier, fuller lives.
When Meghan isn’t working to educate and support individuals on their journey to quit tobacco, she enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to music, or curling up with a good book
